Boogaloo: For Those Too Wild for The Playa?

WORDS BY: BRITTANY, NO FOMO

It’s hard to believe that anyone could be “too weird, too extreme, too wild or too dirty” to find a home camp on The Playa, but the Burning Man crew The Dirty Beetles claims to me. Already lifting our level or curiosity and interest, we ask ourselves a personal challenge… Can I be that wild to fit in with them? There is only one way to find out: participate in the spring pilgrimage of art cars and charismatic souls from SoCal known as Boogaloo.

Challenge accepted.

Next weekend, (April 28th – 30th), Boogaloo music and art car festival will be revving up the engines and transforming Oak Canyon Park into an art and electronic music haven.

Please, this is not for the commercialized music festival fan. This weekend spectacle is for the burners, the dreamers, the artists, the dancers – anyone who wants to become part of the community and participate in a weekend of uninhabited expression and fun.

Boogaloo invites attendees to form their own camps and bring their own art cars – just get approval for the machinery first. Make sure to come with an open mind, a heart seeking an adventure, and leave your ego at the door.

This is motherfucking Boogaloo.

Do you Booagloo?
